Are We Spending Too Much On Wind Energy?

With the support for the wind industry now approaching 400 milion Euro we now have to re-appraise where we are going with this industry and ask the question- is it going to repay what we are putting into it as a country? It would appear to me that there is a frenzy in the EU to support wind energy as part of their climate change policies and I would seriously question that approach. It is also evident that a small cohort of companies and individuals are getting very wealthy as a result of the over reliance on wind power as an alternative source of energy. With the impending crisis that we have with regard to flooding in this country. It might be more in our interest to put this money into flood defences and remedial work rather than supporting wind energy. We need an urgent debate on this matter.
