EU Farm Prices Not Universal

With regard to milk prices, and prices being paid to farmers in general, I would question what is going on in the EU in that regard. Belgian farmers seem to be doing well. It is interesting to see that today Belgian beef is at 5.30 euro per kg, which is about 1.30 Euro per kg higher that here in Ireland. I thought that this was the Europe of the single market and fair trade and all that so why is this the case here? There are serious questions to be answered at EU level
