Ireland Now A Large Net Contributor To The EU

At a time when we see Ireland struggling with a huge housing crisis and our health service in disarray, figures have now emerged in the past couple of weeks that Ireland is a large net contributor to the EU and a lot of people here do not realise that is a fact.
Ireland are now a large net contributor which is hard to understand given what our economy has been through and remember that we are still 204 billion in debt. We have a disastrous health service and a chronic housing shortage to mention just two issues. Surely the EU which is facing uncertainty and which is always quick to say that Ireland are great Europeans will have a total rethink on how the EU is funded and include it in the coming negotiations on the future of the EU.
