The news that the date for public nursing homes to comply with the regulations has been extended to 2021 is a welcome reprieve for the Sacred Heart Hospital in Roscommon. The work that is required to bring the facility up to the required standard can now be done and I will be pressing the minister and the HSE to provide the funds for the improvements to be carried out. This news gives certainty to the residents and their families and I am delighted that the excellent service provided to the patients by the staff at the Sacred Heart Hospital over the years can now continue into the future
